Motic Product Warranty

1. Warranty Period

Educational Instruments / Microscopes

  • Electrical components: 18 months, or 12 months from the date of signing for receipt/acceptance, whichever comes first.

  • Optical and mechanical components: 5 years.

Scientific Instruments / Microscopes / Digital Slide Scanners

  • Full product: 18 months, or 12 months from the date of signing for receipt/acceptance, whichever comes first.

General Notes:

  • If no warranty period is confirmed in writing, it is calculated from the product’s ex-factory date.

  • Parts replaced or products returned for repair due to faults will receive a renewed 12-month warranty for the repaired or replaced parts.


2. Coverage

Normal Warranty:

  • Covers performance issues resulting from manufacturing or design defects, including electrical, optical, and mechanical malfunctions.

Exclusions & Special Instructions:

  • Consumables such as bulbs (halogen, LED, mercury), fuses, batteries, packaging materials, dust covers, etc.

  • Appearance defects:

    • Within warranty if detected during first unpacking and installation (photo evidence must be reported to after-sales service).

    • After customer acceptance and use, appearance issues caused by human factors are not covered.

  • Damage from human factors, misuse, negligence, accidents, improper use, modification, or failure to follow instructions.

  • Damage caused by natural disasters, war, or other force majeure.


3. Extended Warranty

Microscopes:

  • Customers may apply to extend the warranty up to 3 years.

  • Fee: 5% of the original product price per year.

  • Must be purchased at the time of product purchase.

Digital Slide Scanners:

  • Extended warranty available for purchase at the time of product purchase.

  • Terms and fees provided upon request.
