The SMZ-168 stereomicroscope provides a professional quality stereomicroscope without the professional quality price tag. Incorporating a zoom ratio of 6.7:1, one of the industries largest, with Motic’s durable Greenough zoom lens configuration to give a flexible microscope system for a wide range of applications and environments. The standard magnification range of 7.5x - 50x is perfect for most application; this can be expanded through the addition of auxiliary lenses and eyepieces to give a total magnification range of 1.125x up to 320x with a maximum possible working distance of 324mm.

More specialized contrast methods such as polarization or dark field microscopy are easily performed through the addition of optional accessories. Further modification with one of Motics many options for microscope carriers and lighting including pole stands, knuckle stands, and articulating boom stands with various incidental or vertical lighting configurations ensure that the SMZ-168 will fit perfectly into your workflow. Finally, addition of a Moticam microscopy camera allows the SMZ-168 to become a complete inspection and documentation workstation.
